Golf’s Long Lost Secret

These days, beginners and professional golfers alike ask me the same questions that I was asking 20 years ago, except now I have answers for them that work and they’re getting fast results…

So what makes my instruction so darned different that I can get the results you’re reading about?

Golfers want power, yes, but they want the ball to land in the fairway. And what usually creeps up and ruins their day? What golfers tell me after we’ve talked for a few minutes that those two or three bad shots that come out of nowhere are the reason for their frustration; in other words, inconsistency.

Today’s golfers want to play a solid game of golf… without constantly trying to re-learn their own golf swing.

To help golfers free themselves from the “Instruction Merry-Go-Round,” I give golfers the knowledge and power to fix the unexpected problems that sometimes creep up during a round of golf so they don’t create doubts that often ruin a whole season.

Yeah, it sounds weird that I DON”T want to keep seeing my students (like most pros) but I found that as they improve I see them when they are ready for the next level – rather than when the wheels fall off.

Have you ever had a certain club you felt you couldn’t hit? That kind of doubt can only spread and make more problems with your game. I show you how to eliminate the doubt and play without frustration so you can enjoy your best golf again.

A successfull golf swing CANNOT be created by stringing together a series of tricks, tips, or techniques.

If you’ve played the game for more than a few seasons, you’ve already proven this to yourself…

The golf swing is a process that requires the intgration and use of both the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, and the body…

What “technique”instructors never tell you is that learning the process is MUCH EASIER than trying to learn a thousand techniques.

The secret behind my instruction is that I use what I call an “Inside-Out” approach to golf…

I can explain with a simple question for you. What controls the actions of the body? Simple, the mind does, right? Inside-out simply means that we adjust the actions of the body by adjusting the source of the situation… the mind.

Nothing new… All instruction starts with the mind… But instead of telling you what to think, we simply adjust your thought process and reinforce the process with the body’s own bio-feedback so that the body makes the movement properly… and does it automatically… Fine tuning your swing through your mind while reducing thought.

This IS NOT hypnosis, and it IS NOT NLP…

When you think about it, it only makes sense to go to the source to correct any problem. The advantage is that there’s less work, less to remember and better golf to enjoy with faster results and less frustration.

Here’s the interesting little secret you won’t hear anywhere else… Your body already knows what to do to make a good golf swing and it knows how to do it. The only thing that gets in the way of great golf is the mind. When you try to learn such movements as the golf swing by consciously thinking about it, you are working completely opposite of the way you naturally learn movement, which creates a battle in your mind… Is it any wonder golfers get so frustrated?

Golfers always come to me to fix their golf swing, but 95% of the golfers I help DO NOT have swing problems! When I’m done, they have a better golf swing but in almost every case, I never directly address their golf swing in the process of fixing the problem!

It just doesn’t make sense to me that there are so many Golf Swing instructional courses when most problems aren’t really “swing problems!”

WARNING: You might think this is just more mental stuff, but it isn’t. I show golfers how to use the body and mind as one unit… Something that just isn’t taught in golf…

And answers these common frustrations for golfers:

  • How to get rid of those rounds of golf where you feel like you just left your golf swing on the driving range?
  • My practice swing feels great and I’m told it looks good, but it’s nothing like the swing I use to hit the ball… WHY?
  • When you fix one part of your game, why does something else always fall apart?
  • Why does every instructor have a different opinion about how to fix each problem golfers experience?
  • When golfers get instruction that does help they ask: HOW do I know for sure if I am doing it right so I can repeat this out on the golf course by myself!
  • If you’ve ever felt like you just wanted to walk off the golf course… Because no matter what you try, you simply have no idea of where the next shot is going to go or why… And you wonder just how the heck professional golfers on TV make it look so darned easy?

If you’ve experienced any of these feelings, you’re NOT alone… Millions of golfers around the world are experiencing the same things.

Most golfers tell me that they are just looking for a simple way to swing the club that will get good, consistent results.

That’s EXACTLY what my instruction does for golfers; it gives them the feedback to know if it’s right and if not, they can fix it on the spot… Even on the golf course.

But before you can fix the problem, it’s important to know where all of this frustration comes from…

The problem golfers are experiencing is built into the way the game has been taught for the last 20 years…

Let me restate that so that you don’t miss it…

Modern golf instruction creates the very problems that often ruin your day on the golf course.

All of the new “systems”, gadgets, and theories just complicate the game even more… and for one reason… To get you to spend more money!

But worse, all of these complicated methods send your brain into overload on the golf course…

It’s my intention to help you end the spending/frustration process that currently has most golfers spinning in circles just to play the game reasonably well.

In my studies, I noticed that modern golf instruction shows you WHAT happens during the golf swing, but for some reason, leaves out HOW to make it work or keep it working consistentlyThe most important aspect of the instruction is missing!

The famous golf gurus spend countless hours watching golf swings on video. They slow the tape down and they look at swings from every angle in an attempt to discover something new about the golf swing. Then they give us this information in books, magazines and videos…

…And it usually works… When they’re watching you and telling you what to do, but what happens when they aren’t beside you? That’s where they can’t seem to help you… And as you try and remember every single correction they gave you, your game sinks lower and lower…

But the working of the human body are more complicated than that. Without more information on how to make it work on the golf course, golfers are left to try to figure it out for themselves, which is what leads to more brain overload and endless frustration.

For example, one of the most popular instruction methods in the last 15 years, the X-Factor was responsible for most of the back injuries of that era. Why? Because the instructor never considered body design in his teachings. The X-Factor does not consider real kinesthetic’s or biomechanics.

What’s worse? The X-Factor caused transition problems that golfers are STILL trying to overcome!

And remember… X-Factor instruction was splashed all over the major golf magazines!

And this still happens to this day…

The latest rage was the “Stack and Tilt” swing which was featured in a major golf magazine (which by the way has been abandoned after 5 years by just about every pro who initially endorsed it.) This is supposed to be the swing Aaron Baddley was using. Go ahead and try it, but watch out for your back, because this movement could very well leave you with back pain or worse, because the positions required to make this swing are positions the body was not designed to make.

In other words, the Stack and Tilt is not biomechanically sound. Besides, when it gets away from you, the result is a wicked hook and a lost ball.

After watching Aaron Baddley up close during The Players Championship the first year he was using the swing, I can say that his swing bears only a slight resemblance to the swing described in the article.

Should you accept the golf magazines word, or is it just marketing to sell magazines?

If it’s any indicator, a few years later, nobody on tour is using the Stack and Tilt… Is it any wonder?

If you haven’t figured it out by now, one of my pet peeves is seeing instructors teaching golfers something that can only hurt them.

Even the best instructors often overlook important biomechanical laws that can prevent injury and make swinging the golf club a simpler task…

And if you’re paying for instruction, the instruction shouldn’t hurt you or cause injuries.

The first rule to save yourself from instruction that can hurt your game:

When they say, “At XYZ School, we believe that…” or “It is our opinion…”, think carefully before you jump on the bandwagon… No let me change that… RUN!

To understand proper golf swing body movement, cause and effect in the body has to be studied… Biomechanics and Kinesthetic’s… Fact, not opinion. But it gets overlooked because cause and effect is something the videos don’t often reveal…

Golfers often find themselves in a struggle on the golf course trying to do what their bodies will not let them do.

For example: Instructors often talk about hip movement during the swing, but I never hear them talk about the muscles that cause and control hip movement. The stomach muscles, the lower back and the leg muscles are all responsible for proper hip movement.

Something as simple as too much or too little knee bend or the wrong forward tilt can seriously hinder your ability to make the proper hip movement, but do they ever explain those crucial relationships within the body?

No, they just tell you to turn the hips…

And the Secret NO instructor will tell you…

You see, just about any style of swing will work well if you understand the few key ingredients that will make it work consistently…

Uncovering Golf’s Missing Link…

You won’t find golf’s secret in the mechanics of the golf swing, and the mind alone won’t change the world of golf either…

Instead, it’s the interaction between the mind and body during the golf swing that makes the swing powerful, accurate and consistent. The mind and the body have to work together and they must be trained together so that one doesn’t interfere with the other.”

It was Ben Hogan who first showed us how well this golf swing secret works… And now Tiger Woods is working on the same secret, trying to perfect his golf game.

Yes, even with very different golf swings, the same secret still works…

60 years ago, Ben Hogan mastered the secret of consistency in golf and dominated the PGA Tour, but he never gave up the secret. For years, golf writers interviewed him asking about the secret, but Hogan knew they would neither understand nor believe his secret, so he gave them what they were looking for… A quick tip that would get golfers excited about the game.

Well, after reading all of the so called “secrets” touted over the years, I felt there was much more than Hogan led anyone to believe, so I decided to separate fact from fiction and find the real secret everyone was asking for… I almost bit off more than I could chew as it took 10 years of research both inside and outside of the world of golf to uncover the real truth… And 10 more to develop it into a consistent formula… But it was well worth the effort…

Because what I found was beyond anything I could possibly imagine…

I discovered crucial fundamentals that make the difference between success and frustration on the golf course regardless of the style of swing you may be using to strike the golf ball.

…during tournaments I could never break 80…

Tracy,
I’m 15 years old and golf every single day. Occasionally I would fire some rounds in the low 70s, but during tournaments I could never break 80.

I first read your information about a week ago and the first day I tried your setup routine. I was hitting the ball awesome, consistently.

From that day I had 4 days to prepare for my tournament. All 4 days of practice I shot in the mid to low 70s. Then the real test came. The first day of the tournament I played great. I hit 13 greens, missed only 2 fairways, and was averaging about 270 per drive. My driving distance went up about 50 yards and I hit 8 more greens than my average. I shot a 77 missing 4 birdies inside ten feet, 3 3-putts, and 3 missed 3-footers. I could have easily shot under par.

The second day I putted a little better and struck the ball about the same. I shot a 74 missing 3 3-footers and won my tournament by 7 strokes. I had finally broke 80 in a tournament.

Thanks for helping me win a trophy and a $320 gift certificate to the pro shop!
